Who we are

House of Vows is a wedding DJ business run by Jordan Last and based in Suffolk, UK. We are the controller of the personal data collected through this website, which means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us using the contact form.

What information we collect

When you send an enquiry through our form, we collect the details you choose to give us:

If you email or message us directly, we also keep what you send us.

How we use your information

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, check availability for your date, provide a quote and, if you book us, to deliver the service and manage your booking. Our legal basis for this is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract once you have booked. We also keep booking and payment records where the law requires us to for accounting and tax purposes.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we use to run the business:

These providers act on our instructions. Some are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the UK GDPR requires for international transfers.

How long we keep it

Cookies and fonts

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may use technical cookies or logs that are needed to deliver and secure the site. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is shared with Google when a page loads. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format where that applies. To use any of these rights, send us a message using the contact form.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
